What is a custom workflow?

Part3 has a lot of different document types, but sometimes you need another one...and another one...and another one. Now you can create as many as you want!

Part 3 offers three different types of custom workflows for you to choose from. This article explores how the document types work and provides some examples of where you might use them.

#1 Issuance

This document flow is very similar to our change documents where the consultants can collaborate together on one document type. These documents will include cover pages for each consultant type and the ability to add multiple collaborators.

What scenario would you use this?

  • Tender addendum
  • Sequential tendering packages
  • Any document that needs a cover letter & has attachments

#2 Response

This document flow is very similar to our RFI flow. There is a cover page and the ability to upload as many attachments as you want. The cover page acts as a transmittal to record responses.

What scenario would you use this?

  • Tender RFIs (numbering is separate from RFIs during construction)
  • Change request triggered by the GC, not the consultant team
  • Review of other document types (schedules, inspection and testing reports, etc)

#3 Submittal

This document flow is quite similar to our Submittal flow. These documents will include a cover page, and allow for divisions and statuses.

What scenario would you use this?

  • Closeout submittals
  • Review of documents where additional reviewers are required to collaborate in the review process
