Reviewing Pricing Documents

Note: Users can view and attach additional files to Pricing documents, but only Prime Consultants have the ability to accept the Pricing document or request a revision.


Reviewing the Pricing/Quotation

When you're assigned to review a pricing document, you'll have a task on your project overview page.

Step 1: Click the 'Review' button to jump right to the document you need to review.


Step 2: Begin your review of the quote/pricing doc as you would outside of Part3. You can use Part3's in-app annotation tools to provide any comments or markups directly on the attached document.


Step 3: If you have any feedback, both good or bad, you can use the 'Comments' section at the bottom of the quote to chat with the other consultants. Use our @ mention feature to notify them of your comments.

Step 4: As an optional step, you can upload any attachments/letters that are relevant to your review.

When you've finished your review, you can dismiss your task. 👍


Request a Revision (if required)

If the quote has been rejected or needs to be revised, you can request a revision via Part3. This will ensure that the history of the quote and all the associated attachments are tracked in Part3 for record purposes.


Step 1: Click the 'Request revision' button.

Step 2: A pop-up will appear. Select who you want to notify of the revision request and provide a description of why you are requesting a revision. This description will be included in the email sent to them.

Step 3: When finished, click 'Request revision'. This will trigger an email to all of the contacts you selected.


An orange bar will now appear across the top of the pricing document to show that a revision has been requested. This will include the description you entered in the previous step.


Revising the Pricing Details

If you're a General Contractor, and the Prime Consultant has requested a revision, you can make all necessary changes in this latest version.

Clicking Edit under Pricing details:

Clicking Replace document to upload the new version of the Pricing file:

Removing or modifying existing line items and costs, or adding new ones to adjust for the new Pricing file, then clicking Save

Once the revision is complete, click Send to consultants, then click  Submit to send the revised Pricing document to all PRIME consultants:

The status of the Pricing document will change to Resubmitted, the Latest Version banner will be displayed and the status bar will transition from With GC to With Consultants:
