Reviewing Pricing Documents

Reviewing quotations just got easier! In Part3, either the Prime Consultant or the General Contractor can fill out the quotation/pricing information, and all of the required consultants can complete their review.

This keeps all of the information, discussion, and history of the quotes in Part3 so you can easily reference it, and more importantly, link it directly to your change documents.

Reviewing the Pricing/Quotation

When you're assigned to review a pricing document, you'll have a task on your project overview page.

Step 1: Click the 'Review' button to jump right to the document you need to review.

Step 2: View the 'Pricing details' area and any PDF attachments. Use Part3's in-app annotation tools to provide any comments or markups directly on the attached document.

Step 3: On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see the response area. Use the dropdown menu to select your review status and leave any notes you have for the project team. When finished, click 'Submit'.

If you want to discuss the quotation with only the consultant team, use the comments feature at the bottom of the screen. Only consultants can see this. Remember to @ mention people so they receive a notification.

Step 4: As an optional step, you can upload any attachments/letters that are relevant to your review.

When you've finished your review, you can dismiss your task. 👍

Request a Revision (if required)

If the quote has been rejected or needs to be revised, you can request a revision via Part3. This will ensure that the history of the quote and all the associated attachments are tracked in Part3 for record purposes.

Step 1: Click the 'Request Revision' button.

Step 2: A pop-up will appear. Select who you want to notify of the revision request and provide a description of why you are requesting a revision. This description will be included in the email sent to them.

Step 3: When finished, click 'Request revision'. This will trigger an email to all of the contacts you selected.

An orange bar will now appear across the top of the pricing document to show that a revision has been requested. This will include the description you entered in the previous step.

Revising the Pricing Details

If the pricing document has been revised, either as requested by the Consultants or revised in general, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Click the blue 'Edit' button in the top right corner of the pricing details area.

Step 2: If applicable, replace the PDF attachment and revise the line item details (names, dollar value, budget, etc...). When finished, click the blue 'Save' button.

Step 3: Click the blue 'Request review' button and select the applicable consultant disciplines that need to complete their review.

Consultants can now follow the same review process noted at the beginning of this article! 💥
