Certificates - Clone

The end of the month rolls around, and it's time to certify yet another payment.

Why start from scratch, when you can clone your previous certificate!!! 💥

Step 1: In the log view, click on the last Certificate that was issued.

Step 2: Click the orange 'Clone' button in the top right corner beside 'Download'

Step 3: A pop-up will appear for you to populate. This is information that needs to be updated to reflect the pay period/invoice/pay app that you are certifying.

Note: The version number will automatically populate to the next available number.

When finished, click the blue 'Create' button.

Step 4: Now that you're in your new certificate, the first thing to do is update your dollar values for this month's pay application. Click the 'Edit' icon on the Certificate.

Step 5: Update the dollar values for this certificate. Row D, F, and I are manual inputs that may need to be updated.

ROW A: Auto-populates based on project settings ✅

ROW B: Auto-populates based on the dollar value of approved/issued change orders to date. ✅

ROW C: This is row A + B ✅

ROW D: This has to be manually updated on each new certificate. We're not smart enough to predict how much work has been done since the last pay period. 👀

ROW E: This is ROW D x the holdback rate ✅

ROW F: This is a manual entry if you have released any holdback/retention to the GC 👀

ROW G: This is Row E - Row F ✅

ROW H: This is Row D - Row G ✅

ROW I: This is a manual entry. 👀

ROW K: This auto-populates based on the previous certificate dollar values. ✅

Step 6: When you're finished, click the blue 'Save' button in the top right corner.

You'll notice that as soon as you click save, all of the numbers on the Cover letter, Certificate, and contract progress area are updated!

Step 7: Scroll down to the Change progress log area and make any updates that reflect this pay period. Click the 'Edit' button to update dollar values for this pay period.

You'll notice that all of the previously certified dollar values will carry over automatically!

You're welcome 😉

Step 7: When you're finished updating the change progress log, click the blue 'Save' button in the top right.

Step 8: Double-check your cover page! All of the verbiage and # you selected on the previous certificate will carry over, so you don't need to update it every time.

The next steps are the same as last time! Review and Issue.
