Consultants & Collaborators! Welcome to Part3

Hello! You've received an invitation from your Architect or Consultant to join Part3. Now, you might be wondering, what's next? Don't worry, we completely understand that trying out new software can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, we want to assure you that we've worked hard to make the Part3 experience as intuitive as possible.


In this article, we'll talk about:

How Part3 can help!

All of the workflows and documents that are required during construction administration are captured in Part3. Our goal is to reduce manual tasks and keep you out of tools like Word and Excel. In Part3, all of the heavy lifting is done for you!

Submittals & RFIs: Respond directly in Part3 and use our in-app annotation tools so you don't need to download, mark up, and re-upload PDF documents.

Change Documents: Leverage Part3's auto-cover pages with your logo, color, and disclaimers. Just upload attachments and drawings, and we'll assemble the document for you.

Quotes and Pay Apps: Review contractor quotes and pay applications (aka progress claims) in Part3 without emailing back and forth

Communication: Chat with the entire consultant team in Part3 at the document level! Keep all the context and conversations in one place.

Cloud Storage: Every document is safely stored in the cloud and can be accessed at any time. Your Prime consultant can also do a bulk download for you whenever you need it, that way you don't need to download and save every PDF file on your server.


Setting up your profile

Now that you've created an account, you can set your preferences and fill out your profile. This only takes a minute. If your project is using our Procore integration, this is where you'll authorize your account.

Navigate Part3 & Manage Tasks

When you come into Part3, you will see a list of your projects on the main screen. If you have multiple projects, you can organize them by creating project groups. Click here to learn how to group your projects.

You can access your projects by clicking on the project bar or using the drop-down menu in the top left corner of the app.

When you click on the project, you will be brought to that project's overview page. Here is where you will find a list of all of your tasks!

Click on the blue, green, or orange colored icons to jump directly to that document. All of the documents and workflows can be accessed from the main 'Logs' page, but the tasks overview is where you can quickly view your jobs to be done.

If you're viewing documents from the 'Logs' page, you can filter the view so you can focus on exactly what pertains to you. Apply as many filters as you want to narrow down your search.
