Turn on the Submittal Assistant

The submittal assistant can be turned on once you have your Project Manual uploaded to the project.

We need the Project Specification Manual so we can compare the attached shop drawing/submittal to the specifications to give you your review hints!

If you did not enable the Submittal Assistant when you uploaded your specifications, no worries!

Step 1: Go to your Settings, and under the General tab you will see the 'Enable Submittal Assistant' area. Click the toggle so it turns blue, and you're ready to go!

How it works

In simple terms, when you upload a submittal, Part3 will compare the contents of the submittal against the Project Manual specifications.

✨To start getting your Submittal hints, you need to upload a document.

Step 1: Find the division in the logs you have a submittal for, or create one using the + sign in the top right corner.

Step 2: Upload the attachment(s) you want to review.

Step 3: Once the attachment has been uploaded, you will see this screen to let you know we're reviewing the submittal against the project manual.

Step 4: In a minute or two, the hints will appear! Right now we surface hints for Manufacturer, Testing Standards, Colors, and Warranty.

You'll know if the attachment has been reviewed if you see the blue 'AI-Reviewed Beta' tag on the right.

These helpful hints will give you a head start on your submittal reviews! No need to go through the project manual to see if the manufacturer is listed, or wonder if it meets those NFPA standards, or wonder what color it should be!

👀 Remember, these hints are hints. We're not here to replace you, we just want to make your reviews faster and maybe even enjoyable. Always remember to double-check your Project Manual and do your due diligence.
